Research & Development

Plan of Speaker front
Already in 1975, when VISONIK was founded, our early products were characterized by an impressive innovative character.

In 1975 the DAVID presented a milestone in the development of compact high-quality loudspeakers. It became the first miniature loudspeaker to fulfill the German Industrial Standard DIN 45500. The sensation of the Berlin Fair of Consumer Electronics in 1975 had already won the Japanese Export Product Price in 1977 during the 6th Japanese Audio Grand Prix for Innovative Technologies.

Until this day VISONIK's innovative character provides the basis for our research & development center and our employees.

Every detail is being closely examined. Consequently we equip the nerve center of our loudspeakers, its frequency crossover, with high quality coils that are tightly winded under extreme tension. Naturally, we only select components with the smallest range of tolerance.

By applying techniques from the automotive industry, we test the resonances of our cabinets and then optimize them accordingly. Whether it be magnetic materials from medical applications, or materials like Kevlar from military research - the latest technologies are being applied in VISONIK.

This approach enabled us to develop technologies like the VISONIK Power Move, the VISONIK Time Array or the VISODYM tweeter. Find out more about these fascinating technologies on the following pages.

Every detail is being tested, refined and adjusted. Because the human being and his feelings are crucial. For us and in music.
